SQL Developer

Salary: £40,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• SQL / T-SQL and data modelling experience
• Experience with SQL Server / Azure SQL
• Experience building and managing data pipelines
• Experience working with large and complex datasets
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines
• Own the ingestion and processing of large national datasets
• Develop data models, reporting databases and analytical datasets
• Build automated data quality checks and monitoring
• Improve the performance, reliability and cost of data workloads
• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams on data requirements
• Support data governance, security and compliance
• Help shape data architecture and mentor other engineers

The role would suit a SQL Server developer, database developer, or a candidate experienced using T-SQL who enjoys end-to-end ownership, solving complex data problems and working across the full data lifecycle. We offer a salary of £40,000 to £55,000 depending on experience, hybrid working with circa 1 day onsite in Huddersfield, genuine ownership of the data engineering function, a highly collaborative and supportive environment, and the opportunity to influence architecture and help shape the future of the platform.
