Software Engineer C++

Salary: £63,000 - 103,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require SC Clearance, and all candidates must hold or be eligible to gain SC Clearance before starting the role.
• We require candidates to have worked within the Defence or Military industry within the last 12 months, or to be capable of obtaining Security Clearance at SC level minimum.
• We preferably want an understanding of military systems, particularly maritime systems.
• We want experience of software engineering lifecycle processes and tools.
• We want an understanding of open systems architectures and principles.
• We want the ability to solve complex problems and critically review results and methods to ensure quality.
• We want awareness of ISO 9001 and TickITplus standards.
• We want an understanding of software configuration management.
• We want the ability to communicate with expert and non-expert stakeholders.
• We ideally want proven ability in one or more of the following industries: Defence, Maritime, Rail.
• We want primary software skills and experience in C++ / Visual Studio.
• We want experience with UML / Enterprise Architect for system design.
• We would also welcome experience in Sonar processing, Intel OneAPI, Threaded Building Blocks, Fortran, Signal Processing, Object Oriented Design, and Algorithm optimisation/implementation.
