Full-Time£29,000 - 69,000 per year前天United Kingdom

Job Description

Salary: £29,000 - 69,000 per year

Requirements:
  • A solid track record (5+ years) building and operating large-scale commercial services that real customers depend on.
  • Strong programming ability and the confidence to pick up whatever language a problem calls for.
  • Real-world experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and containerised deployment on Kubernetes.
  • Experience with data at scale, including SQL and the trade-offs between different storage and search systems.
  • Experience working with coding agents, including responsible use and ongoing evaluation as the tooling changes.
  • An appreciation for tools that catch bugs before runtime, such as type systems, tests, and designs that make bad states unrepresentable.
  • A pragmatic grasp of computer science fundamentals.
  • Experience shipping LLM-backed products to production is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with document processing is a plus, including OCR, layout, and the reality of documents as they actually arrive.
  • An opinion on what makes good code and good architecture, and the ability to argue it.
  • A builder and problem-solver mindset.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with engineers, product managers, and customers to design, build, and operate the AI systems behind our document processing products.
  • Build across the pipeline, including ingestion, parsing and extraction, indexing and retrieval, and evaluation.
  • Take features from idea to production, stay with them, measure whether they worked, and improve them when they did not.
  • Solve hard problems in concurrency, latency, and distributed systems so the platform holds up under high-volume production workloads.
  • Build for environments we do not control, including multi-cloud, on-premises, air-gapped, and strict security and compliance environments.
  • Use coding agents as a serious part of your toolkit and help the team get better at using them.
  • Work with teams across our company and across locations to innovate and build best-in-class document processing, and occasionally work with customers directly.
  • Contribute to our engineering culture by mentoring, reviewing, hiring, and pushing back when something is not good enough.

More:

We believe in the transformative power of automation to change how the world works, and we are building category-leading enterprise software that unleashes that power. Our Intelligence Document Processing product turns enterprise documents and messages such as invoices, claims, contracts, and customer emails into structured data that automations and AI agents can act on. This product engineering role focuses on complex systems and LLM-in-production problems at enterprise scale, supporting both cloud deployments and customer environments such as air-gapped datacentres. We value curious, self-propelled, generous, and genuine people who want to own product outcomes. The role is based in London, is full time, on-site, and sits within our Engineering department. We also offer flexibility in when and where work gets done depending on team and business needs, and we value diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity.
