Requirements:
  • Strong experience in product/service management for enterprise platforms, including middleware, integration, messaging, and monitoring/observability, ideally in a regulated environment
  • Deep knowledge of IBM MQ and solid working knowledge of ACE, ITX, and observability tools such as ITM/Instana or equivalent
  • Proven track record in platform lifecycle management, including upgrade programs, standardization, deprecation, and technical debt management
  • Strong operational mindset, including incident/problem management, capacity planning, resilience, and SLI/SLO-based performance management
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence across multiple teams and senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing large-scale, multi-region deployments of messaging, integration, and observability platforms across multiple geographies and time zones, including follow-the-sun support, regional standardization, and regulatory or latency constraints
  • Proven delivery experience with IBM MQ in a complex enterprise estate with hundreds or thousands of queue managers or a large application population
  • Contractor must be eligible for BPSS
Responsibilities:
  • Define and maintain a multi-quarter product roadmap covering currency, resilience, security improvements, automation, and consumer experience
  • Own platform lifecycle management across the estate, including standard versions, upgrade plans, deprecation and exit strategy, and technical debt prioritization
  • Shape and prioritize demand using transparent criteria such as risk reduction, service stability, regulatory requirements, cost, and customer impact
  • Set and maintain standards and reference patterns for IBM MQ, ACE, ITX, and ITM/Instana
  • Lead governance forums to manage exceptions, reduce fragmentation, and improve time to deliver for consuming teams
  • Maintain product documentation and service catalogue entries, ensuring clarity on what is supported and how to consume it
  • Be accountable for service health outcomes, including availability, stability, performance, capacity, and resilience
  • Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and KPIs such as incident trends, MTTR, change failure rate, and platform performance indicators
  • Drive operational excellence through major incident review leadership, root cause elimination, problem management, reliability engineering initiatives, and runbook maturity
  • Ensure DR and HA expectations are defined, tested, and evidenced

We are hiring for an Enterprise Integration Product Manager role based in Sheffield with a hybrid work setup of 60% office and 40% home. This is a contract role through 31/05/2027 with a rate of £490 - £538, and it is an umbrella arrangement. The role focuses on managing enterprise integration platforms, driving resilience, security, automation, and consumer experience improvements, while supporting operational excellence, standardization, and service health across the estate.
