IT Systems Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience working as the internal point of accountability for ERP data, configuration, and change, working with external partners where required
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration
• Experience supporting hybrid environments, including cloud and on-premises
• Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, infrastructure, and endpoints
• Comfortable working in an SME environment with real accountability and autonomy
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
• ERP implementation, upgrade, or migration experience
• Automation, scripting, or Power Platform experience
• Experience working in ISO9001 and ISO27001 environments

Responsibilities:

• Administer, support, and optimise our ERP platform across core business processes
• Act as the internal owner for ERP configuration, data integrity, permissions, and change control
• Work with external implementation partners where specialist input is required
• Support upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement of ERP functionality
• Administer Microsoft 365 Business Premium, including SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, and Intune
• Manage user onboarding and offboarding, access controls, and permissions
• Support collaboration, document management, and endpoint management
• Manage and support endpoints, laptops, printers, networks, NAS, and Ubiquiti infrastructure
• Provide Tier 2/3 IT support and resolve escalated technical issues
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and restore testing
• Automate workflows using Power Automate and related tools
• Support Power BI reporting and data flows where required
• Work directly with business users to deliver practical system improvements
• Own and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and runbooks
• Manage the relationship with our managed service provider, including quarterly service reviews
• Ensure systems operate in line with ISO9001 and ISO27001 expectations
