Lead Solution Architect

Salary: £47,000 - 87,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience in solution architecture within insurance or financial services.
• Strong understanding of application design, integration patterns, and cloud technologies.
• Ability to balance technical innovation with practical delivery constraints.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with London Market processes and Lloyds market systems.
• Experience with API-driven architectures and microservices.
• Knowledge of security and regulatory requirements in financial services.
• Collaborative and pragmatic, with a focus on enabling delivery.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver practical, scalable, and secure technology solutions that meet business needs within the London Market.
• Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring solutions are aligned with architectural principles and Group Technology standards.
• Work closely with development squads, product owners, and technical leads to translate architectural blueprints into actionable designs.
• Support delivery teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Translate architectural blueprints and roadmaps into detailed solution designs.
• Ensure solutions are fit for purpose, scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.
• Support integration with existing systems and processes, minimising disruption and technical debt.
• Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Work closely with product owners, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and constraints.
• Act as a trusted advisor to delivery teams, helping navigate technical challenges and dependencies.
• Liaise with Group Technology and vendors to ensure solutions meet compliance and interoperability standards.
• Ensure adherence to architectural principles and governance frameworks.
• Document solution designs clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support risk identification and mitigation during solution delivery.
