Data Engineer

Salary: £43,000 - 83,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for enthusiastic Data Engineers with 3-10 years of expertise in the Data Engineering space.
• Experience with Data Integration into Cloud Data Warehouses or Data Lakes, programming, APIs, etc. in an Agile environment.
• Work experience as a Core Java Developer or similar role.
• Experience designing, building and testing Java applications.
• In-depth knowledge of popular Java frameworks like JSF and Spring MVC.
• Good time management skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Expertise or exposure to AWS Glue and Data Catalog, EMR, Athena, S3, Redshift / RDS, Kafka/Spark, AWS Security, IAM.
• Expertise or exposure to Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL DW & Azure SQL, Azure Storage, HDInsight (Spark/Kafka), Azure Event Hub, Azure AD/IAM and Data Catalog.
• Expertise or exposure to Cloud DataFlow, DataPrep, CloudSQL, BigTable, BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, Kafka/Spark, Google Cloud IAM.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and analyse user requirements.
• Prioritize, assign and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle.
• Develop new applications.
• Write well-designed, efficient code.
• Review, test and debug team members code.
• Ensure our applications are secure and up-to-date.
