Software Lead

Salary: £43,000 - 83,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require at least 4-5 years experience leading software engineering teams.
• We require hands-on development experience in the Microsoft .NET stack.
• We require experience working with older technical stacks including VBscript and C++.
• We require a strong understanding of databases including Oracle and SQL Server.
• We require ownership of software design, with proactive engagement to deliver solutions.
• We require proven experience working within agile methodologies and an understanding of the principles behind them.
• We require proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity.
• We require experience of working in and supporting older technologies.
• We require excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• We require experience working in multi-disciplinary and remote teams.
• We require strong commercial acumen backed up by considerable business experience.
• We prefer experience of migrations from legacy to newer technical architectures.
• We prefer a degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

• We take technical ownership and leadership for the Merit FINBOS platform application.
• We work closely with the wider business units to support and deliver secure, performant and scalable solutions that meet client needs.
• We work closely with pre-sales and business leads to understand client technical requirements.
• We work closely with Engineering, Delivery and Security teams to help define technical strategy.
• We select and implement appropriate technical components based on considered practices and strategies.
• We oversee delivery of the strategy by the core engineering team and provide sound technical recommendations.
• We own the agile processes and productivity of the assigned engineering team.
• We provide leadership and mentoring for the technical teams.
• We are responsible for the development and support of the Meritsoft Finbos application and the integration of new components into the platform.

We are a dynamic and fast-growing engineering team within Accelerator-Core in London. The role reports to the Director of Engineering and works closely with our Cognizant Studio team and wider business units. We offer a standard 37.5-hour working week based in London with flexibility, and travel to other locations as required. This is a permanent role with a salary range of 75,000 - 115,000. The position sits within our Meritsoft environment, supporting the development and delivery of the Meritsoft product for our clients and internal teams.
