Data Architect, Enterprise OT Asset Data Products

Requirements:

• Strong enterprise data architecture experience, including conceptual, logical and canonical data modelling
• Proven capability in metadata, lineage management, source-to-target mapping and data quality
• Experience designing reusable data products with standards and governance frameworks
• Ability to translate fragmented OT source structures into business-meaningful, consistent models
• Confidence collaborating across architecture, engineering, operations and data teams, communicating clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfort operating in ambiguity, shaping practical solutions and challenging constructively to drive consistency

Responsibilities:

• Define the target data architecture for enterprise OT asset data products, including logical and conceptual models and canonical structures
• Ensure electricity transmission asset data is structured, contextualised and aligned to the Enterprise Data Model so it is reusable across the organisation
• Create clear standards for data products, including metadata, schema definitions, quality rules, lineage, refresh requirements, ownership, stewardship and version control
• Develop modelling and normalisation patterns for time-series, event, alarm, measurement and file-based data while preserving traceability across sources
• Work closely with initiatives across IoT, intelligent substations, SCADA replacement, enterprise asset management and analytics platforms to align delivery with governance

We are hiring a Data Architect on a contract basis for a minimum of 6 months, based in London with a hybrid working model. This role sits within enterprise OT asset data products and gives us the opportunity to make complex operational data trusted, standardised and governed so it can enable condition monitoring, maintenance planning and smarter operational insight. The contract duration is 6 months plus, and the role is umbrella only.
