Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server
• Strong hands-on experience with Dell server hardware
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki
• Strong hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication
• Strong hands-on experience with QNAP or similar NAS/storage technologies
• Strong hands-on experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and routing
• Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure and data migrations
• Previous experience working on M&A integrations, infrastructure transformation or large-scale migration programmes is highly advantageous
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, cloud environments, SaaS tenant migrations or Linux is beneficial
• Driving licence is essential

Responsibilities:

• Support and migrate Windows Server and Dell infrastructure

• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Meraki networking
• Manage VLANs, ACLs, firewall rules and network segmentation
• Support Veeam Backup & Replication
• Manage QNAP/NAS storage
• Plan and execute server and data migrations
• Rack, unrack, cable and decommission legacy infrastructure
• Produce technical documentation and migration plans
• Act as a senior escalation point for infrastructure issues
• Provide knowledge transfer and support to junior engineers

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to support a major M&A infrastructure integration programme. This is a highly hands-on role where we will rely on you to help stabilise, migrate and integrate a legacy IT environment into a large enterprise infrastructure. You will work across servers, virtualisation, networking, storage, backups and data migration, ensuring changes are delivered securely and with minimal disruption. The position is based in Motherwell, Scotland, with a 5-day on-site working pattern. This is a 6-month contract, inside IR35, for 37.5 hours per week, with a start date of 28 September. Occasional travel to other sites is required.
