Senior Security Specialist

Salary: £50,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience across security engineering and security operations, with the ability to solve complex technical challenges and strengthen security capabilities.
• Experience acting as a senior technical escalation point and leading engineering initiatives.
• A strong infrastructure background, with deep understanding of enterprise networking, operating systems, DNS, firewalls, and cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience securing cloud environments, including Azure, Entra ID, AWS, and SaaS platforms.
• Experience with threat hunting, incident response, adversary emulation, detection engineering, and cyber threat intelligence.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and mentor others.
• A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with new technologies, cyber threats, and emerging security practices.

Responsibilities:

• Advance our security engineering roadmap by improving cybersecurity maturity, detection and response capabilities, and security technologies.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve visibility, and build more resilient security operations across cloud, infrastructure, and security platforms.
• Lead offensive security initiatives, including threat hunting, purple team activities, adversary emulation, and complex incident investigations.
• Provide technical leadership to the Security Operations Centre and mentor Security Operations analysts.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement by contributing to our AI security roadmap and evaluating emerging technologies.
• Influence the security roadmap and lead initiatives that deliver lasting value across the organization.
• Partner with security operations, engineering, and leadership teams to shape and strengthen our security posture.
• Work within a geographically distributed security engineering team spanning the UK and Canada.
