IT Project Manager

Salary: £32,500 - 52,500 per year

Requirements:

• We require applicants to currently be residing in the UK and be eligible for, or already hold, UKSV Security Clearance (SC).
• We are looking for experience delivering or coordinating IT projects, technology initiatives or business change activities.
• We require experience working within structured project delivery methodologies.
• We prefer a professional Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent, or that you are working towards one.
• We need a strong understanding of project governance, planning, risk and issue management.
• We require experience managing actions, dependencies and delivery activities across multiple workstreams.
• We need strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• We require experience producing project reporting, dashboards and management information.
• We need a good understanding of IT services, technology delivery and implementation projects.
• We require proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint, Planner and Project.
• We need the ability to work effectively within regulated, governance-driven or security-conscious environments.
• Desirable experience includes working within Defence, Government or other highly regulated sectors.
• Desirable experience includes delivering Microsoft 365, cloud, cyber security or infrastructure projects.
• Desirable experience includes working within secure or sovereign technology environments.
• Desirable knowledge includes ITIL, COBIT, NIST or similar governance frameworks.
• Desirable familiarity includes ISO 27001, Defence Cyber Certification (DCC) and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
• Desirable experience includes supporting operational technology services and internal digital platforms.
• An existing Security Clearance (SC) or higher is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• We coordinate and oversee the delivery of projects, operational improvements and change initiatives across Internal Digital Services.
• We maintain delivery plans, milestones, actions, risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring progress is tracked and managed effectively.
• We act as a central coordination point between technical teams, operational stakeholders, suppliers and leadership.
• We prepare and maintain project and operational reporting, dashboards and management information.
• We support governance forums, working groups and leadership meetings, ensuring decisions and actions are captured and followed through to completion.
• We coordinate resource requirements, implementation activities and operational readiness across multiple workstreams.
• We identify, manage and escalate risks, issues and blockers that could impact successful delivery.
• We support supplier engagement and delivery coordination where required.
• We assist in the planning and delivery of technology, infrastructure, Microsoft 365 and service improvement initiatives.
• We drive consistency, governance and continuous improvement across delivery and operational processes.
• We provide day-to-day support to senior management, helping coordinate priorities, track delivery commitments and maintain oversight across the Digital Services portfolio.
