Senior Specialist, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence
Job Description
Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year
Requirements:- Masters degree or doctorate in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Proven experience developing artificial intelligence and automation solutions within a scientific or technical environment.
- Strong expertise in software engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, deployment, and version control.
- Advanced programming skills in Python or R, with experience building and deploying production solutions.
- Specialist knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, large language models, or advanced data science methods.
- Experience working with large-scale computing environments, databases, cloud platforms, or distributed systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality scientific or technical outcomes in a collaborative environment.
- Design and deploy artificial intelligence and automation solutions that accelerate clinical trial data workflows.
- Build scalable tools that improve document processing, data extraction, and analytical efficiency.
- Collaborate with quantitative sciences, technology, and innovation teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Translate complex scientific and data challenges into practical, value-driven engineering outcomes.
- Champion adoption of artificial intelligence technologies through expert guidance and technical leadership.
- Ensure solutions meet quality, compliance, privacy, and regulatory standards within drug development.
- Stay at the forefront of industry advancements and contribute to external scientific communities.
