Senior Software Engineer I - Servicing Platform

Salary: £66,000 - 106,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in backend programming languages like Java, Python, or Go
• Experience building high-throughput systems and keeping services fast and reliable
• Deep interest in system design and platform thinking
• Desire to build meaningful infrastructure that enables others
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working in fintech or high-trust domains like risk, identity, or compliance is a plus
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Build the systems that make safe, global products possible
• Work as part of our Platform Engineering team at the intersection of Product and Risk
• Craft systems that allow internal teams to ship faster, safer, and smarter
• Build foundational services that other teams rely on to launch features across global markets
• Design a centralized risk platform that unifies data and decision-making across identity verification, fraud detection, compliance, and more
• Accelerate delivery by enabling product teams to launch faster with built-in risk tooling
• Empower risk teams with systems they need to assess, respond, and protect without blocking development
• Help reduce fraud, improve trust, and scale safely
