Project Architect for Data Center Projects

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
• We require a registered architect.
• We require at least 5 years of experience.
• We prefer 3+ years of experience working on data centre projects.
• We require understanding and experience with various building contracts.
• We require experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and project scheduling tools.
• We require excellent written and communication skills.
• We require excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• We require proficiency in Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processes.
• We require demonstrated graphic presentation skills.
• We require experience preparing and laying out architectural contract documents and specifications.
• We require strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills.
• We require an attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.
• A masters degree in Architecture is preferred.
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and 3-D Studio Max is preferred.
• Rhino and Grasshopper experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• We will count on you to bring strong recent experience working on data centre projects.
• We will count on you to contribute technical design content, design management skills, digital technologies, and design workflow.
• We will count on you to perform layout and detailing on architectural projects.
• We will count on you to establish and attend owner/client and internal meetings, and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance.
• We will count on you to manage and undertake design activities and the production of design information.
• We will count on you to conduct work sessions at project sites with the Project Manager and other disciplines.
• We will count on you to review architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
• We will count on you to perform QA/QC and technical reviews.
• We will count on you to write and edit architectural specifications.
• We will count on you to coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders.
• We will count on you to incorporate agreed-upon changes into project documents.
• We will count on you to provide construction contract administration as needed.
• We will count on you to perform other duties as needed.
• We will count on you to work on projects in a variety of sectors, with a focus on data centers.
• We will count on you to work closely with multidisciplinary design teams, clients, and contractors in the UK and Europe.
