User Researcher - Defence

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• We lead, plan, develop, and conduct research activities, ensuring the right methods are applied.
• We have UK Defence Industry experience.
• We hold active SC clearance.
• We have expert knowledge and application of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• We have a sound understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and visual design principles.
• We work closely with client teams to deliver relevant and appropriate research plans and strategies.
• We design and lead workshops across a project lifecycle.
• We represent user research across the organisation.
• We can manage, coach, and develop senior members of our team and wider community.
• We communicate effectively at all levels.
• We have excellent commercial awareness.
• We have strong stakeholder management skills.
• Desirable: we have experience working in a full-service digital agency environment.
• Desirable: we have demonstrable knowledge of user-centred design practices.
• Desirable: we have experience working with Agile delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• We deliver actionable insights that help define the right service experiences and focus them on user needs.
• We advocate for needs-based design, design thinking, and service design.
• We coach others in design research.
• We manage, coach, and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on employee performance and career development.
• We are part of our growing Experience Design capability creating exemplary digital services.
