Senior Backend Engineer

Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience building and operating scalable production systems
• Experience with Go and Python, alongside as many areas of the tech stack as possible, plus a willingness to learn
• High level of ownership and comfort picking up undefined problems and driving them to completion in a small team
• Desirable: experience with real-time or latency-sensitive systems such as streaming, telephony/SIP/WebRTC, or similar

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with ML and AI engineers to integrate Voice AI solutions and ML pipelines with our backend core
• Build next-generation Voice AI products used in real-world, carrier-scale environments
• Contribute to cutting-edge challenges in Speech AI, Conversational AI, and AI safety
• Take high ownership, autonomy, and direct impact on product and company strategy

Our tech stack includes Go, Python, Postgres, Redis, NATS, Keycloak, Kubernetes, Istio, mTLS, ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, AWS, and Terraform. This is a hybrid role based in our London office, with three days per week onsite.
