Software Engineer

Salary: £71,000 - 99,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a Software Engineer II based within a commutable distance, generally within 1–2 hours, of our office hubs in London.
• Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language is essential.
• We work on a full-stack role with a primary focus on backend systems and occasional front-end projects.
• Experience with every tool in our stack is not required, but familiarity with Java, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL and NoSQL databases, and AWS is relevant to the role.
• Front-end skills will not be assessed during the interview process.

Responsibilities:

• We work closely with product managers and designers across the full software lifecycle, from design and coding to testing, deployment, and iteration.
• We build and maintain backend systems, with occasional front-end work.
• We release code to production frequently, often every few days, and operate on a daily release cycle.
• We solve a wide range of technical challenges as versatile problem-solvers within Tripadvisor Experiences.
