Senior Control Systems Networking Engineer

Salary: £160,000 - 200,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience managing the technical design and implementation of OT infrastructure and networking.
• Experience in industrial control system architecture as it pertains to network segmentation, standard protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, OPC, IEC 61850), and system administration.
• Experience in industrial control system hardware (e.g., PLCs, relays, IEDs, IO modules) and networking layer integration.
• Preferred: Knowledge of, or experience in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Preferred: Knowledge of, or experience in data center infrastructure/critical infrastructure.
• Preferred: Ability to generate technical product specifications/requirements, conceptual schematics, and system architecture drawings to drive control networking system projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop scope and requirements for networking initiatives to drive the design, implementation, and testing of secure and resilient operational technology (OT) security solutions.
• Perform design document development, implementation, and lab and on-site testing of networking solutions.
• Perform technical review of new control system infrastructure initiatives, embedding networking requirements into the lifecycle from initial design and testing to deployment.
• Serve as a technical liaison and collaborate between cross-functional teams to resolve complex design, integration, and deployment challenges in mission-critical environments.
• Perform sustaining and life cycling activities during pre- and post-deployment, and operations for networking solutions and OT infrastructure components (e.g., SCADA/HMI servers, clients, software).
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and maturation of the OT environment to drive risk reduction.
