Python Developer

Requirements:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer.
• Strong software engineering background with excellent hands-on Python development experience.
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-quality applications and services.
• Practical expertise with automation technologies such as Playwright and/or Selenium.
• Experience building and maintaining reusable automation frameworks and tooling.
• Good understanding of API-driven architectures, microservices and distributed systems.
• Exposure to cloud-native development and containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, code quality, testing strategies and engineering best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across application, infrastructure, and automation layers.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments with cross-functional engineering teams.
• This temporary contract is inside IR35.
• The successful candidate will follow established delivery processes and working practices.
• Candidates should meet the relevant residency requirements.
• If applicable, reserved post nationality restrictions will be confirmed by the client.
• Should the role require the successful candidate to undergo and be eligible for UK Security Vetting, clearance sponsorship will be provided where required.

We are working with an Investment Bank in Glasgow on a 7-month-plus temporary Python Developer contract, inside IR35, with 4 days on client site and 1 day remote. The role sits within a multi-disciplinary team and follows established delivery processes and working practices.
