Senior DevOps Engineer (Java)

Salary: £33,000 - 73,000 per year

Requirements:

• We have 5+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer.
• We have strong knowledge of AWS, CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• We have experience with Terraform (infrastructure as code), Kubernetes, and Helm.
• We have experience in Java.
• We have experience with multiple ecosystem databases, architecture, and integration.
• We have experience with monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
• We have experience with schema change management, such as Liquibase.
• We have knowledge of GitOps principles.
• Experience working within the public sector or central government is beneficial.
• We are willing to travel.
• We have the right to work in the UK.
• We can attain a UK Security Clearance.

Responsibilities:

• We implement and support improvements to enhance software quality and accelerate delivery times.
• We share responsibility across development and operations, with a focus on people, processes, and tools.
• We work with a unified customer and user focus.
• We collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team with Development, QA, IT Operations, InfoSec, and UCD.
• We apply DevOps best practices to achieve a common goal.
• We communicate with stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical implementation.
• We act as a business SME to understand business needs and support efficient DevOps delivery.
• We manage stakeholders, negotiate, and influence to ensure the service runs effectively and effort is placed correctly.
