DevSecOps Engineer
Job Description
Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year
Requirements:- We are looking for a senior-level DevSecOps Engineer with extensive experience in a broad SME capacity.
- We need someone with a strong track record of owning technical projects and making key decisions on tooling and technology.
- We require deep proficiency in AWS, including well-architected account setups, shared VPCs, and best-practice implementations.
- We value strong expertise in compliance and governance; experience with ISO27001 and FCA-regulated environments would be a bonus.
- We need advanced automation skills, particularly with Terraform, and familiarity with Terragrunt would be beneficial.
- We are looking for experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally with Jenkins.
- We need strong cloud security knowledge, including data encryption and preventing data leakage.
- Experience with serverless and event-driven architectures such as Lambdas, Docker, RDS, Aurora Serverless, and Kafka is important.
- Familiarity with Datadog, PagerDuty, Google Workspace, JumpCloud, GCP, S3, 1Password, and GitHub Actions would be advantageous.
- We will rely on you to integrate security and compliance into our DevOps process.
- You will own the technical direction of our DevSecOps function and help shape our infrastructure strategy.
- You will collaborate closely with our engineering team and engage with stakeholders across the business.
- You may take part in client-facing discussions as needed.
- You will lead conversations around AWS cost optimisation and infrastructure best practices.
- You will create and manage infrastructure for serverless and event-driven environments.
- You will develop and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.
- You will focus on cloud security, including encryption and data leakage prevention.
- You will develop and maintain SOPs to support compliance and operational efficiency.
- You will manage infrastructure using Terraform, with possible use of Terragrunt.
- You will oversee monitoring and incident management using Datadog and PagerDuty.
- You will manage endpoint device detection and access control tooling, including Google Workspace, JumpCloud, and 1Password.
- You will handle aspects of GCP management, backup policies, and related AWS storage processes.
