Senior Network Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require active SC Clearance.
• We require British nationality only.
• We require strong experience supporting enterprise LAN and WAN environments.
• We require hands-on expertise with Cisco ISE, Cisco routing and switching, and Cisco ACI.
• We require experience managing and troubleshooting firewall technologies, including Cisco ASA and Palo Alto.
• We require a strong understanding of network security principles and policy implementation.
• We require experience supporting wireless technologies, including Cisco and Meraki.
• We require knowledge of VPN technologies and secure remote connectivity.
• We require proven experience in incident, problem, and change management.
• We require strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills within complex network environments.
• We require a CCNP certification as a minimum.
• We require excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Software Defined Access (SDA) is desirable.
• Exposure to load balancing technologies such as F5, Citrix ADC, or NetScaler is desirable.
• Experience working in highly regulated or security-conscious environments is desirable.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks and network security testing is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• We provide day-to-day support for enterprise network infrastructure.
• We manage and maintain Cisco-based networking environments, including routing, switching, and SDA technologies.
• We administer and support Cisco ACI and Cisco ISE platforms.
• We configure and support wireless networks using Cisco and Meraki solutions.
• We implement and maintain firewall and security policies across Cisco ASA and Palo Alto environments.
• We support VPN technologies and secure network connectivity.
• We perform network troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
• We deliver infrastructure maintenance, patching, compliance activities, and network upgrades.
• We support load balancing technologies including F5, Citrix, and NetScaler.
• We execute network change activities and implement new business requirements.
• We produce technical documentation, reports, and stakeholder communications.
• We contribute to service improvement and optimisation initiatives.

We are hiring a Senior Network Engineer to join a critical infrastructure programme in Barrow-in-Furness, working onsite. This is an inside IR35 role with a rate of £505.00 per day.
