Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Market Data
Job Description
Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year
Requirements:- Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts with advanced applied experience in cloud technologies, including Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS
- Experience with data lake technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS Glue/Athena, and Lake Formation
- Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in infrastructure engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align with resiliency, security, and auditability expectations
- Knowledge of network architecture and protocols
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with market data and messaging products such as TREP, Vela, RedLine, Bloomberg BPIPE, Solace, and AMPS
- Knowledge of market data vendors and their key products, including Bloomberg, LSEG, Factset, and S&P
- Experience with database technologies and SQL scripting
- Experience with monitoring tools such as ITRS Geneos, Dynatrace, or Datadog
- Apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to analyze complex data and systems, anticipate issues, and advise on mitigation actions
- Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate analysis of complex infrastructure signals and document mitigation options, validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements
- Design and maintain critical data delivery systems, including real-time data, historical data, and AI/ML use cases
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with business and regulatory requirements
- Balance best-of-breed solutions with cost-effective approaches
- Act as a positive team player who can accept different intellectual points of view
- Communicate clearly and concisely, including presenting to senior management
- Analyze and articulate problems and provide input into solutions
- Provide 3rd level support to operational roles
- Maintain strong process and control management disciplines
- Lead reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted practices across delivery and automation routines to reduce recurring issues, ensuring changes are validated, traceable, auditable, and aligned to resiliency and security expectations
