Job Description

Salary: £160,000 - 200,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Science, Engineering, or Math, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in data center infrastructure management or planning.
  • 5 years of experience in leadership roles with or without direct reports.
  • Experience with electrical or mechanical engineering in a data center environment.
  • Experience with rack, space, and power capacity management and reporting.
  • Preferred: 12 years of experience in technical program management and data center infrastructure.
  • Preferred: Experience gathering customer or product requirements for data center builds.
  • Preferred: Experience managing global teams.
  • Preferred: Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Preferred: Excellent written and verbal communication and financial skills, and a data-driven investigative approach to solving complex issues.
Responsibilities:
  • Review electrical and mechanical designs of network space in our Google-owned facilities.
  • Mentor team members globally.
  • Manage rack space and power capacity, including reporting.
  • Design and build standards for our Google-owned spaces.
  • Manage team resource planning.
  • Lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using our engineering expertise.
  • Plan requirements with internal customers and guide projects through the full lifecycle.
  • Manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Explain our teams analyses and recommendations to executives and discuss technical trade-offs with engineers.
