Platform Engineer

Salary: £143,000 - 143,000 per year

Requirements:

• Software development background with the ability to create and write code from scratch in Python or Node.js
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, IAM and CloudFront
• Strong infrastructure as code expertise using Terraform
• Scripting skills in Python or Node.js
• Knowledge of secure AWS architecture, IAM, least-privilege access and authentication protocols such as OIDC
• Experience working in agile teams using CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to solve complex platform challenges and drive continuous improvement

Responsibilities:

• Help deliver an AWS platform project as a software-first Platform Engineer
• Build and write code from scratch in Python or Node.js

We are hiring software-first Platform Engineers for a 6-month outside IR35 contract to support an AWS platform project in London. The role is based in central London with one day onsite each week and offers a rate of £550 per day. We are looking for engineers who can combine strong software development skills with hands-on AWS platform experience, infrastructure as code, and a focus on secure, collaborative delivery.
