Purview Specialist

Salary: £50,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need 5+ years of experience in roles such as M365 engineer/admin, security and compliance engineer, business/systems analyst, or technical product lead with hands-on delivery.
• We need strong SharePoint Online and OneDrive administration experience, including information architecture, permissions, sharing controls, and site governance.
• We need proven hands-on Microsoft Purview delivery across DLP, sensitivity labeling, data lifecycle and retention, and eDiscovery.
• We need working knowledge of DSPM and how to operationalize recommendations.
• We need experience working with Legal, Security, and Privacy teams to design usable controls that meet compliance and risk requirements.
• We need understanding of global privacy and compliance concepts such as GDPR, audit support, and risk management practices.

Responsibilities:

• We own and evolve the technical roadmap for the document management ecosystem across SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and M365, aligning business outcomes to platform capabilities.
• We ensure strategy and deployment decisions stay aligned with broader product and enterprise architecture direction.
• We design and implement Microsoft Purview capabilities to improve governance and risk posture.
• We deliver sensitivity labels and label policies, DLP, data lifecycle management, eDiscovery, and DSPM use cases.
• We formalize our unstructured data strategy, including classification, lifecycle, retention, defensible disposal, and information architecture best practices.
• We translate business needs into technical requirements, user journeys, guardrails, and scalable configurations.
• We partner with Legal, Privacy, and Security to ensure our decisions meet regulatory expectations and organisational priorities.
• We build governance playbooks, standards, and training guidance for content creators and business teams, and improve them based on feedback.
• We integrate E5 licensing capabilities into the Azure and M365 ecosystem and design foundational workflows and automations.
• We ensure scalability, performance, and security of M365 services and configurations.
• We communicate priorities, delivery progress, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders.
