D365 CE Principal Architect

Salary: £100,000 - 120,000 per year

Requirements:

• Deep, demonstrable experience architecting Dynamics 365 CE at enterprise or global scale, ideally including Customer Service
• Strong Power Platform expertise, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse, with sound judgement on low-code versus coded solutions
• Hands-on background building plugins, custom workflows, JavaScript and cloud flows
• Strong integration architecture experience across Azure, including Logic Apps, Azure Integration Services and APIs; SAP integration is an advantage
• Proven experience designing for resiliency, scalability, performance and disaster recovery
• ALM, CI/CD and source control experience, including Azure DevOps and Git
• In-depth understanding of security, access controls and governance for cloud and CRM environments
• Experience working in an Agile, product-based delivery model, supporting a Product Owner and roadmap
• Proven track record of managing, mentoring and leading D365 developers and setting the technical quality bar
• Experience in regulated environments is a bonus

Responsibilities:

• Own the Dynamics 365 CE architecture end-to-end, from vision through to delivered design, defining the target architecture, design principles and standards
• Act as design authority for the platform, making key design decisions and reviewing and approving solution designs to protect architectural integrity
• Stay hands-on in Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform, including prototyping and proving out designs
• Make deliberate low-code versus pro-code decisions, using configuration where appropriate and code where it is the right answer
• Design robust integrations between Dynamics 365 CE and the wider enterprise estate, including Azure, SAP, Microsoft 365 and third-party SaaS
• Design for non-functionals, including resiliency, scalability, performance, availability, disaster recovery and security/governance by design
• Lead and mentor the CRM development team, setting technical standards, running design and code reviews, and growing the teams architectural thinking
• Shape the roadmap by assessing new Dynamics 365 and Power Platform releases and translating them into architectural direction alongside the Product Owner

We are a global leader embarking on an ambitious multi-year transformation programme, and we are seeking a Principal Dynamics 365 CE Architect to own the architecture of our strategic global CRM solution. This is a rare greenfield opportunity, building on a newly established Dynamics 365 Customer Service platform as it scales into an enterprise-wide system of engagement. The role is permanent and UK remote, and you will work in an Agile, product-based delivery model while leading a high-performing D365 development team and remaining genuinely hands-on with Dynamics 365 CE and the Power Platform.
