Requirements:

• We require expert knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune.
• We require strong experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V, SAN, and NAS technologies.
• We require proven experience as a technical leader within a large digital transformation project.
• We require experience with backup, disaster recovery, patch management, and high-availability design.
• We require solid networking fundamentals, including VLANs and routing concepts.
• Experience in games, VFX, animation, or similar technical environments is desirable.
• You must be based in or commutable to Manchester.

Responsibilities:

• We provide technical leadership for Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, SAN, and NAS infrastructure, ensuring platforms are designed and operated to support business and project demands.
• We shape Active Directory, Group Policy, Entra ID, and Intune strategy as part of infrastructure transformation and identity modernisation.
• We lead cloud infrastructure delivery, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enable scalable, repeatable, and well-governed change.
• We partner with development teams on platforms such as Perforce and build infrastructure, while championing automation and acting as a senior escalation point for incidents and operational issues.
• We provide technical thought leadership across multiple teams including Network, Infrastructure, and EUC.

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership across our server, virtualisation, storage, and Microsoft infrastructure estate. This is a hands-on role for a recognised technical expert with broad infrastructure experience and deep expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, virtualisation, storage, cloud platforms, and automation. The role is outside IR35 and based in Manchester or commutable to Manchester. We also offer a referral reward of up to £1,000 for a successful recommendation, subject to terms.
