Software Engineer

Salary: £31,000 - 53,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in Back End Software Engineering
• Proven experience with Java, capable of coding complex functionalities
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Knowledge of Containerisation & Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and building secure solutions
• Familiarity with Spanner DB
• Knowledge of database management (e.g., DB2 and/or SQL)
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) is desirable
• Experience in Kafka is a plus
• Knowledge of Dynatrace is advantageous
• Prior experience leading teams is beneficial
• Financial services industry background is useful

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical discussions with collaborators to identify needs and implement solutions
• Craft and build backend solutions using infrastructure as code
• Prototype and develop reusable components
• Write automated test scripts and perform code reviews
• Develop and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate with internal, external, and third-party teams to deliver world-class solutions
• Provide leadership, education, and mentoring to junior colleagues
