EH Group (EHG) is a rapidly growing fuel cell power platform delivering onsite power to AI data centers, defense, and industry. Our fuel-agnostic proton exchange membrane (PEM) systems scale from kW-scale units to GW-scale power plants, and we design, manufacture, and deploy them for customers worldwide.

Founded in Switzerland, EHG is now expanding into the United States, fueled by exponential AI data center power demand and a soon-to-be-announced major investment round. This is a defining, high-growth chapter for the company.

The opportunity

We're hiring a Quality Manager to own a single quality system across both of our production streams — our established MW-scale facility in Nyon, Switzerland and our new US operation in Houston, Texas.

You'd be based in Nyon, where our production and process knowledge sits today, and own quality for the US operation as it stands up. The requirement is explicit: quality must be identical at both sites. Same specifications, same control plans, same acceptance criteria, same records. A customer taking delivery of a system should not be able to tell which site built the stack inside it, and our certification and warranty position depends on being able to demonstrate that.

Our customers are data center operators, defense programs, and industrial sites where reliability is the product. In your first year you'd harmonize our quality management system across both entities, establish controls in Houston that match those proven in Nyon as manufacturing technology transfers, build supplier quality alongside Supply Chain for a shared global supply base, and support certification of our systems for both European and US markets.

Location & travel: Nyon-based. Regular travel to Houston is expected as the US operation stands up, along with travel to supplier and partner sites in Europe and the US.

What you'll own

• One quality management system across both entities — a common QMS covering Nyon and Houston, including the path to ISO 9001 certification in the US and alignment with what is already established in Switzerland.

• Equivalence between sites. A single set of product specifications, control plans, inspection criteria, and acceptance standards, with a defined process for how any change is applied at both sites rather than one.

• In-process quality for fuel cell stack production at both locations, including the process controls that matter most in stack assembly — cleanliness and contamination control, leak testing, torque and compression control, and alignment.

• Supplier quality for a shared global supply base, working with Supply Chain on qualification, audits, first article inspection, part submission, and ongoing performance, with one qualification standard regardless of which site a supplier serves.

• Quality oversight of contract manufacturing and assembly partners building balance of plant and containerized systems on our behalf in both regions — audits, quality agreements, source inspection, and acceptance criteria.

• Nonconformance and corrective action across both sites, including NCR and CAPA processes and structured problem solving, with findings at one site systematically applied at the other.

• Traceability and product records — a common lot genealogy model from raw material through stack serial to delivered system, and the test and inspection data that supports warranty, certification, and customer acceptance, held consistently across both entities.

• Certification across regions, working with external certification partners on the standards applicable to stationary hydrogen power systems in Europe and the US, authority having jurisdiction approvals, and marine classification where relevant.

• Quality culture on both floors, including operator training, work instruction discipline, and establishing the habits in Houston that are already proven in Nyon, as US headcount grows quickly.

• Building the US quality capability, defining what needs to sit on the ground in Houston versus what is run centrally from Nyon, and recruiting into it as volumes grow.

What we're looking for

Core experience

• Owning quality across more than one manufacturing site, ideally in more than one country, with a demonstrated ability to hold two sites to genuinely the same standard from a distance.

• Establishing or substantially rebuilding a quality function, including authoring a quality management system rather than administering an existing one.

• Hands-on in-process and incoming quality in a production setting, with real familiarity with control plans, inspection methods, measurement systems, and process capability.

• Supplier quality experience, including auditing suppliers and holding them to standard.

• Structured problem solving and root cause analysis, with a track record of permanently closing out recurring defects.

• Working knowledge of product certification processes and the evidence they require, ideally in energy, power equipment, or another regulated product category. Exposure to both European and US regimes is a strong advantage.

• The judgment to know which controls are essential at low volume and which can wait, and the confidence to hold a quality position under schedule pressure.

• Comfort working across time zones and influencing a site you are not physically based at, including building quality capability remotely.

Especially compelling

• Fuel cell, battery cell, or similar electrochemical assembly experience.

• Experience with cleanliness-critical or contamination-sensitive assembly processes.

• Experience supporting a technology transfer between sites or countries, and establishing quality at the receiving end.

• Experience qualifying and auditing contract manufacturers or system integrators.

• Startup or scale-up experience as an early hire during hyper-growth.

• Experience working between Europe and the US, and with US codes and certification practice in particular. French is useful but not required.
