Technical Product Owner – Fixed Income Data
Job Description
Salary: £39,000 - 67,000 per year
Requirements:- We typically look for 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a hybrid PO/BA role within an agile environment.

- We look for proven ability to engage in technical discussions, simplify complexity, and communicate effectively with engineering teams and business stakeholders.
- We require proficiency in managing product backlogs and agile workflows using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
- We value strong emotional intelligence, resilience, positivity, and the ability to stay focused through challenges.
- We prefer experience working within a horizontal data platform function, balancing asset-class needs with shared platform integrity.
- We prefer a track record of influencing and advising junior colleagues in operational processes to achieve goals.
- We prefer experience building strong relationships and collaborating with peers outside the immediate team.
- We prefer familiarity with index calculation, rebalancing, and analytics platforms.
- We require candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview at the nearest S&P Global office.
- We serve as the Product Owner within the value stream, combining Product Owner and Business Analyst responsibilities to define, prioritize, and lead detailed delivery for agile teams.
- We translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable epics, features, and user stories.
- We own and manage the team backlog in Azure DevOps, ensuring alignment with broader business goals, platform standards, and cross-functional priorities.
- We act as translators between business and technology, communicating complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- We navigate incomplete or conflicting data to identify viable options and make pragmatic decisions in non-routine situations.
- We collaborate with cross-functional teams and other Product Owners to manage dependencies and sequencing across platforms.
- We advocate for high data quality, timeliness, and operational robustness, ensuring asset-specific needs are delivered through reusable data services rather than bespoke silos.
