Responsibilities:
  • I support the University of Baths software approval and procurement, ensuring compliance and value for money.
  • I review software licence requests, triaging them effectively and liaising with colleagues, requesters, and suppliers.
  • I input data into the Software Catalogue and manage accurate, efficient processes, promoting a positive customer experience and spotting areas for improvement.
  • I maintain software licensing knowledge materials and ensure effective information management according to agreed procedures, addressing shortfalls with the Software Licensing Manager and Director of IT Services when necessary.
  • I manage the licence renewal calendar to prompt timely actions before licence termination.
  • I provide information and advice that ensures compliance, coherence, coordination, and cost-efficient procurement of software licences and hardware contracts.
  • I deputise for the Manager of Software Licensing as needed and establish positive relationships with DDaT teams, particularly Cyber, Service Desk, and Procurement, and university-wide product owners to ensure an effective service.
