Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager in large, complex environments
• Strong track record of leading teams of Software Engineers and building high-performing teams
• Hands-on technical background across Java, Javascript, and cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP, including distributed systems
• Experience in fast-paced, modern engineering environments
• Expertise in scalable architecture, reliability, and performance
• Ability to navigate and simplify complex technical challenges
• Experience delivering consumer-facing products with frontend and backend awareness
• Proven track record in driving engineering transformation
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Flexible approach to hybrid working and occasional travel to other sites
• Passion for technology and ability to be hands-on if required
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field is nice to have
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and problem solving, are nice to have
• Immediate availability is nice to have

We are recruiting urgently for a contract Software Engineering Manager to join an instantly recognisable firm in London on a 6-month assignment. The role is inside IR35, offers up to £850 per day, and follows a hybrid working pattern with 3 days onsite. This is a contract resource opportunity, so we are only considering candidates from a contracting background.
