Software Engineer

Salary: £53,000 - 93,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for proven product engineering experience, ideally including C#, TypeScript, ReactJS, or similar.
• We need a solid understanding of relational databases and cloud platforms (AWS).
• We value hands-on experience with, or genuine curiosity about, AI-assisted development and agentic coding tools.
• We are looking for excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• We value a pragmatic, principled approach to quality and continuous improvement.
• Bonus points if you have experience running .NET applications in AWS.
• Bonus points if you have experience with the CWR standard.
• Bonus points if you are familiar with the music publishing industry.
• Bonus points if you have experience establishing or contributing to team practices around AI-assisted engineering.

• We require the ability to work on-site at our Liverpool office in a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and performant user-facing and/or back-end systems.
• Contribute to technical strategy and architectural decisions with a focus on tangible business outcomes.
• Build secure APIs and integrate with third-party services and platforms.
• Work within our approved AI tooling and practices, including agentic workflows such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
• Apply good judgement on where AI assistance speeds up delivery and where it does not.
• Maintain clear ownership and accountability over AI-assisted contributions, including attribution and review practices for agent-generated code.
• Champion quality, observability, and resilience across everything you ship.
• Collaborate closely with your squad and wider stakeholders, taking full ownership of your deliverables.
• Share your knowledge, mentor colleagues, and help shape our evolving engineering practices, including how we use AI responsibly.
