Software Developer

Salary: £42,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced developer with strong Java skills.
• We require commercial experience in backend development using Java 6-11.
• We require hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• We require experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• We require experience using Git for version control, including branching, merging, and code reviews.
• We require experience working across the full software development lifecycle in a commercial environment.
• A solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns is expected.
• Experience with modern IDEs such as Eclipse or Visual Studio Code would be beneficial.
• Experience in backend development using C# would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with Java unit testing frameworks such as Jenkins and JUnit would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• We continuously review development processes and code efficiency.
• We manage and resolve tickets collaboratively as part of the team.
• We develop software in Java using Spring Boot, Hibernate, MySQL, and Git.
• We work with peers on projects and contribute to the development of new products and technical architecture planning.
• We identify software issues, communicate with customers, and design effective solutions.
• We focus on continuous improvement and delivering high-quality, efficient software solutions.
• The role is office-based, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
