Senior Supportability Engineer (ILS)

Salary: £76,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements:

• We have experience in support design reviews and customer meetings, presenting ILS evidence and guidance and ensuring AR&M and supportability aspects are effectively communicated and addressed.
• We have experience in ILS on mission-critical programmes, with awareness of the Defence Logistics Framework and Def Stan 00-600.
• We understand ILS methods including supportability analysis, software support, safety, supply support, maintenance, and progressive assurance.
• We have experience applying AR&M methodologies within engineering projects.
• We have strong stakeholder skills and are able to influence and build trust.
• We ideally hold a Higher National Certificate or above in a relevant engineering or science discipline, or have relevant industry or defence experience.
• We are familiar with tools such as PTC Windchill Risk and Reliability, Reliasoft, OPUS, Simlox, Matlab/Simulink, Raytheon EAGLE suite, Jira, or Python, although this is not essential.

Responsibilities:

• We analyse, assess, and influence the design of the next generation of Leonardo products to ensure they are reliable, easy to maintain, and meet customer requirements.
• We own and contribute to a variety of supportability analysis tasks.
• We develop an understanding of and apply through-life costing principles.
• We tailor programmes of work to applicable standards and guidance.
• We apply supportability tools effectively.
• We contribute confidently to team tasks and outputs.
• We work closely with other disciplines as part of our daily business.
• We produce work independently and exercise sound judgement.
• We support and develop other team members.
• We independently identify problems and propose solutions.
• We peer-review colleagues work.
• We identify opportunities for and participate in continuous improvement activities.
