Senior Mobile Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience developing React Native applications using TypeScript.
• Experience architecting and delivering production mobile applications.
• Confidence owning technical decisions from design through to release.
• Experience working with APIs and backend integrations.
• Strong understanding of mobile performance, testing and application lifecycle management.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across Engineering, Product and Design.
• Confidence using modern AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality.
• Experience working with B2B SaaS products or high-availability production environments would be beneficial, although not essential.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and build a greenfield React Native application for iOS and Android.
• Establish scalable engineering standards, testing strategy and CI/CD practices.
• Work closely with backend Ruby on Rails engineers to design API contracts and seamless integrations.
• Take ownership of technical decisions around performance, scalability, accessibility and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to translate product goals into technical delivery.
• Identify risks, manage technical debt and help shape the long-term roadmap for the mobile platform.
• Drive engineering quality whilst remaining hands-on throughout development.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of a new React Native application, helping define the technical architecture and engineering practices around it.
