Senior IT Project Manager

Salary: £49,000 - 89,000 per year

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of project management experience, with a track record of successfully delivering complex cross-functional projects at a senior level in SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and/or BPaaS contexts
• Proven track record of delivering results in a complex international and diverse environment
• Strong knowledge of different project management methodologies, such as Waterfall and Agile, and software such as Microsoft Project and Jira
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to manage risks and develop effective treatment strategies
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Strong experience managing end-to-end execution of complex programs spanning multiple cross-functional teams through the software project lifecycle
• Exceptional leadership and team motivation skills
• Ability to discuss technical details with developers and drive consensus among stakeholders
• Fluency in English; German is an asset
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a bonus
• Experience leading RFI and RFP processes, vendor negotiation, contracting, hiring, and managing third parties is a bonus
• Relevant exposure to the financial services industry is a bonus

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans for regulatory and/or innovation projects, including timelines and budgets, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage scope, risks, issues, and quality throughout the project lifecycle in alignment with Top Management and C-suite executives
• Develop mitigation strategies to treat risks and resolve issues as they arise
• Provide weekly project status updates, progress reports, and potential roadblocks to Top Management and C-suite executives
• Bridge the gap between product vision and a delivery-oriented approach, ensuring deadlines are met according to the project timeline
• Lead cross-divisional and cross-functional project teams to achieve project objectives and milestones
• Oversee project budgets and ensure Estimate To Complete (ETC) is continually reviewed according to project progress
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and lessons learned
• Mentor and develop junior project managers and team members
