QA Test Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - 40,000 per year

Requirements:

• A strong understanding of QA methodologies and the software testing lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience of both manual and automated testing across web, mobile and/or API environments.
• The ability to create structured test cases and communicate defects and test outcomes clearly.
• Experience managing test plans and defects within a modern software development workflow.
• SQL knowledge for database validation and testing.
• Experience working within an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Familiarity with tools or technologies such as Jira, Postman, Selenium and AWS would be useful.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with developers, product specialists and DevOps throughout the Agile delivery cycle.
• Help shape test coverage and identify risks.
• Improve how quality is built into complex software.
• Carry out thoughtful manual and exploratory testing alongside automation.
• Work across web, mobile and API-based applications.
• Investigate problems properly, communicate risk clearly, and follow defects through to resolution.

This is a full-time, permanent QA Test Engineer role based in Poole, Dorset, with four days per week onsite and one day remote from home.
