Requirements:

• 4+ years of Python development experience in automation or backend development.
• Experience building REST APIs using Flask or FastAPI.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and Jinja2.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong Linux administration and Bash scripting skills.
• Experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
• Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD experience.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Knowledge of Python libraries including requests, paramiko, subprocess, schedule, and pandas.
• Understanding of HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, and API integrations.
• Telecom or network automation experience, including 4G Core, 5G, or Service-Based Architecture (SBA).
• Experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Knowledge of OpenStack and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Experience with Pytest, Selenium, or Playwright.
• Knowledge of Grafana, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
• Agile or Scrum experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks and scripts for network testing, data processing, and operational workflows.
• Build RESTful APIs using Flask or FastAPI.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Develop and maintain Docker-based applications and environments.
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Write Linux shell scripts and manage deployments on Linux servers.
• Integrate with telecom network systems and APIs for validation, monitoring, and health checks.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and error-handling solutions.
• Collaborate with QA, Network Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable automation solutions.

We are seeking a Python Developer to support large-scale telecom network operations by developing and maintaining automation solutions, backend services, and tooling. You will work closely with QA, Network Engineering, and DevOps teams to build REST APIs, automation scripts, and data-driven applications that improve testing, monitoring, and operational efficiency across 5G and enterprise platforms. This is an office-based role in London or Ipswich, starting ASAP, on a 12-month initial contract at a rate of £420 per day inside IR35.
