Job Description

Salary: £50,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Graduate-level qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Project management qualification or equivalent, such as Managing Successful Programmes, Management of Risk, Managing Portfolios, or APM Project Planning, Monitoring & Control.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to ensure data accuracy, uphold quality standards, and produce reliable management information and executive reporting.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting complex, large-scale datasets and translating findings into clear, meaningful, and actionable insights.
  • Skilled communicator able to tailor messaging and present complex information in a concise and impactful manner for senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience working within project, programme, or portfolio management environments, with exposure to reporting, planning, governance, risk management, cost control, and performance analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 proficiency, with experience using Excel, Power BI, and Power Apps to enhance reporting, automate processes, and deliver data-driven insights.
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies, data analytics, and reporting best practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities while remaining calm, organised, and focused.
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide insight, information, and support that strengthens portfolio governance and enables prioritisation decisions and effective management across the portfolio.
  • Deliver high-quality executive reporting with clear, concise, and actionable insights to support strategic decision-making across the portfolio.
  • Maintain accurate, reliable, and executive-ready portfolio data, reporting outputs, and management information.
  • Analyse portfolio, programme, and project performance data to monitor activities, plans, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and interdependencies across our portfolio.
  • Use programme and project data to develop predictive analytics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to optimise performance.
  • Provide trusted advice and insight to senior stakeholders through detailed analysis, interpretation of complex information, and proactive engagement with programme and project teams.

We are AWE, based at RG7 4PR between Reading and Basingstoke with free onsite parking. We offer a package of £39,500 to £50,000 depending on suitability, qualifications, and experience, and we operate a 9-day working fortnight. We also welcome flexible working requests and offer hybrid working on an informal, non-contractual basis, typically 2 to 3 days onsite per week.
