Network Security Engineer

Salary: £62,500 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require active SC clearance and BPSS.
• We require recent hands-on experience with F5, Zscaler, and Palo Alto technologies.
• We value knowledge of Check Point, Juniper, Blue Coat, and Cisco networking solutions, including major switching families.
• We value understanding of wireless technologies and Cisco IPT / QoS / 802.1x / Infoblox DNS.
• We require knowledge of VPN technologies, including IPsec, SSL VPN, and DMVPN.
• We require knowledge of wide area network technologies, including routing protocols.

Responsibilities:

• We provide technical ownership of our customers security infrastructure estate, processes, procedures, documentation, and lifecycle management.
• We act as the senior technical point of reference for security-related projects, changes, or modifications to firewall rule bases.
• We serve as the senior technical point of reference and escalation interface into vendor support for incidents related to the security infrastructure.
• We design customer networks and support high-level and low-level designs.
• We provide technical support and change management for hard (physical) and soft (remote) changes.
• We manage customer inventory, including hardware, software, and end-of-life items.

We are hiring a Network Security Engineer for an exciting client engagement supporting a data centre network build within the DCE Programme. This is a contract role outside IR35, based in Warwick, Wokingham, Corsham, or Farnborough, UK, with the vast majority of work expected to be remote and occasional travel to customer sites. We are looking for someone to take ownership of security infrastructure activities and provide senior technical guidance across security projects and incidents.
