Network Engineer

Salary: £71,400 - 71,400 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in network support or engineering roles
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and network diagnostics
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment (CCNA-level knowledge)
• Exposure to Palo Alto firewalls and/or Cisco ISE to implement wired and wireless network access control and micro segmentation
• Experience with fibre and copper cable management (datacentre clean ups)
• Familiarity with NAC solutions and enterprise network security practices
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support for LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple sites
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers
• Assist with firewall rule changes and basic policy management (Palo Alto or similar)
• Support VPN and remote access solutions
• Monitor network performance and respond to alerts using tools like SolarWinds or PRTG
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changes
• Participate in change and incident management processes

We are recruiting a Network Engineer for our public sector client in Bradford. This is an on-site role with a rate of £275 per day inside IR35 and a duration of 4 months. The successful candidate will join us to support critical infrastructure and work collaboratively across multiple sites.
