MongoDB Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience with Ansible for database server configurations
• Experience with DevOps automation tools such as Git, JIRA, and database CI/CD tools
• Good working knowledge of coaching SRE practices across large organisations or multifaceted teams
• Working knowledge of MongoDB
• Practical experience with containers and Kubernetes
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and migration tasks

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain our critical technology infrastructure while resolving complex technical issues and minimizing disruption to operations
• Apply software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response to improve reliability, availability, and scalability
• Build, deliver, and maintain high-quality infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements
• Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to identify, address, and resolve issues, vulnerabilities, and outages
• Develop and implement automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
• Implement secure configuration measures to protect infrastructure against cyber threats and unauthorized access
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to define infrastructure requirements and deliver aligned solutions
• Stay informed of industry trends and contribute to our technology communities
• Advise on complex issues, support decision-making, and help strengthen our risk and control environment
• Lead or contribute to collaborative assignments, guide team members, and communicate complex information to stakeholders
