Salary: £29,120 - 29,120 per year

Requirements:

• We require GCSEs at grade A-C (9-4) or equivalent in English and Maths.
• We require an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, or experience in business support.
• We require a willingness to undertake appropriate learning and development as needed.
• We require knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• We require experience using Microsoft Office products and web-based software packages.
• We require demonstrable administrative experience with an understanding of office procedures.
• We require experience providing effective and efficient customer service to internal and external customers in line with policies and procedures.
• We require experience working in a team.
• We require experience minute-taking and note-taking.
• We require the ability to recognise significant content in discussions and summarise it into a coherent record of the meeting.
• We require excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage contact with service users tactfully and interact with professionals at all levels.
• We require the ability to sustain concentration during lengthy meetings.
• We require the ability to seek support and manage the emotional impact of daily contact with sensitive information.
• We require literacy skills, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Responsibilities:

• We take minutes of child protection meetings and other CYP statutory meetings, summarising information accurately to produce a high-quality minute document within departmental timescales.
• We support the independent chair in creating and updating the written child protection plan during meetings.
• We work alongside the independent chair to ensure appropriate abridgements are made for young people and family members.
• We ensure accurate recording of meeting attendees, including contact details.
• We support Independent Chairs in ensuring information is securely handled during and after meetings.
• We input minute-related data accurately into the IT system.
• We proactively suggest ways to improve service efficiency, customer experience, and best practice.
• We carry out other duties appropriate to the grade of the post.

This role focuses on producing accurate, non-verbatim minutes for statutory meetings within departmental timescales, supporting independent chairs during meetings, and helping maintain secure handling of sensitive information.
