Mid-Level Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with solid professional experience developing embedded software.
• We want strong skills in C, C++ or Rust.
• We want hands-on experience with RTOS, Embedded Linux or bare metal systems.
• We want experience debugging and solving problems at the hardware and software boundary.
• We want understanding of protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Bluetooth or Wi Fi.
• We want someone comfortable working from datasheets and alongside hardware engineers.
• We want someone who takes pride in writing well tested, maintainable software.
• We want someone who can communicate technical ideas clearly.
• We want someone who is curious, practical and enjoys figuring things out.

Responsibilities:

• We will have you build embedded technology that moves from early concept to prototype, production and real-world deployment.
• We will have you work on challenging products for major brands.
• We will have you collaborate with electronics engineers, mechanical engineers, designers and scientists.
• We will have you work close to the hardware and solve problems beyond software boundaries.
• We will have you work across different technologies and industries.
• We will have you develop products using C, C++ or Rust and Python.
• We will have you work with Zephyr OS, Embedded Linux and bare metal systems.
• We will have you work with Bluetooth, Wi Fi, USB, UART, SPI and I2C.
• We will have you contribute to low power and battery powered systems.
• We will have you support wearables and connected devices.
• We will have you handle hardware and software integration and bring up.
• We will have you take products from concept all the way to launch.
