M365 Operational Support Engineer

Salary: £35,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience in Microsoft 365 administration and operational support
• Experience with Exchange Online and Microsoft email technologies
• Experience with Microsoft Teams and Teams Phone/Teams Telephony
• Experience administering and managing an M365 tenant
• Experience with Microsoft collaboration and messaging technologies
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve M365 operational issues
• Previous on-premises Exchange or Microsoft infrastructure experience, ideally with experience moving to or supporting a cloud-based M365 environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day operational support and administration of the Microsoft 365 tenant
• Support and manage Exchange Online and email services
• Provide operational support for Microsoft Teams
• Support and administer Teams Phone/Teams Telephony
• Troubleshoot messaging, collaboration and user-related M365 issues
• Manage incidents, service requests and operational issues through to resolution
• Support the ongoing management, stability and performance of the M365 environment
• Work closely with internal infrastructure and support teams
• Apply experience with on-premises Microsoft environments and migrations or transitions to M365

We are seeking an experienced M365 Operational Support Engineer for an initial six-month contract in a busy technology environment. This hands-on role focuses on day-to-day support, administration and management of an M365 tenant, particularly across collaboration and messaging technologies in environments transitioning from on-premises infrastructure. The role suits an experienced M365 Engineer, Support Engineer, Messaging and Collaboration Engineer, Exchange Online Engineer or Microsoft 365 Administrator who enjoys operational support as well as hands-on work. The position is hybrid in Buckinghamshire, with one day per week onsite and four days remote; the start is ASAP. The rate is approximately £450 per day, inside IR35.
