Linux Engineer / Linux Administrator

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator or Linux Engineer with strong Linux endpoint management experience.
• We need hands-on experience deploying Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE).
• We need experience onboarding Linux devices into Microsoft Intune.
• We are looking for expertise in Linux security and endpoint protection.
• We need someone who can create technical documentation and deployment processes.

Responsibilities:

• We will have you deploy and configure Microsoft Defender for Endpoint across Linux devices.
• We will have you onboard and manage Linux endpoints within Microsoft Intune.
• You will support the implementation of a managed endpoint security service.
• You will implement Linux security controls, compliance standards, and best practices.
• You will troubleshoot and resolve Linux endpoint and security-related issues.
• You will produce technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
• You will work closely with project stakeholders to ensure all Linux devices are protected and onboarded within project timelines.

We are a London-based Higher Education institution delivering a critical project to improve the management and security of our Linux estate. This is an initial 2-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension subject to project requirements. The role is hybrid, with 1 day per week onsite in London, and is outside IR35.
