Lead SQL Developer

Salary: £65,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience across SQL Server and SQL
• Experience with data warehousing
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes
• Experience creating queries, stored procedures, scripts, and database objects
• Experience with data reporting
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with Azure Data Factory
• Experience with Dataflows
• Experience with data lakehouse or warehouse solutions
• Experience with Python
• Experience with source control, specifically Git
• Experience in technical leadership and team management
• Prior experience in a similar Lead SQL Developer position
• Good communication skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to work as part of a team

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership across a team of BI Developers, DBAs, and SQL Developers
• Work on a range of business-critical projects using Microsoft technologies
• Drive projects from concept through to delivery
• Shape the future of our central data platform
• Support hands-on engineering, team leadership, and strategic decision-making
• Collaborate with senior leadership
• Encourage innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within our data function
